About Us

Havering Shopmobility Charity

We exist to help people with limited mobility by lending wheelchairs and electric scooter for day hire in Romford Town Centre.  We also provide equipment for longer periods like holidays, and we sell some equipment and disability aids.  We originally started up in Angel Way over 23 years ago, but in 2001 we moved to the Brewery, hosted by Sainsbury's.   Then in  2003, we opened our second shop in the Liberty, hosted by the Liberty Shopping Centre.

We are a totally self-funded Charity and we are proud to say that the level of service we give to our customers is of a high standard.  We strive to replace a portion of our stock every year. This is achieved by fundraising and support from our loyal users.
