Adopt us as your 'cause' for fundraising or community funding

Our equipment is becoming old and less reliable.  We have an equipment replacement programme to replace our electric scooters, electric and manual wheelchairs in order to ensure they are maintained as 'fit-for-purpose'.  But this is dependent on us having the funds available.  Our annual income including membership fees, hire fees, sales, commissions and fundraising, covers our annual running costs, but isn't enough to keep all our equipment up to scratch.

For this we rely on the generosity of local businesses and community organisations to support us.

Your organisation could sponsor a specific item of equipment -

Manual wheelchairs start at £250;

Lightweight electric scooters cost £750;

Heavyweight scooters cost £1,300;

Specialist electric wheelchairs cost £7,000

We would acknowledge your organisation's generosity with a logo/name displayed on the equipment and in our service leaflets and participate in press coverage.

Our services help people with limited mobility access all the facilities of Romford Town Centre.  This encourages independence and reduces social isolation.  Many of our users come with family members. Our services also benefits the local economy from their considerable spending power, which might otherwise be lost.

We have 450 active members and numerous walk-in hires. Our equipment is used for 8000 hires per year.  Our volunteers give 25,000 hours of service to the local community.  So we're sure we can tick a few boxes to be eligible for your organisation's support.

We have recently launched an initiative called 'Pathway to Independence' that aims to provide 4 new heavy-duty scooters at a total cost of £5,200.  We are looking for partners able to raise or contribute money towards this.

We are happy to tailor a package depending on our current needs and the sum of money available, including co-funding arrangements with other donors, if applicable.
